Wildflower Update....
In our walk about Halley Farm, we discovered that the wild raspberries are ripe! This is a BIG deal for Roxanne. Personally, I never eat any below dog height...

Queen Anne’s Lace is blooming in abundance. Never noticed the pink color on an immature flower head before… lovely. I’ve let it grow from time to time in our home garden, but there’s always a price to pay for that. Its really, really well-adapted, so it seems like every seed spouts a new plant the next year. Its a bit of a weeding burden.
Note the maturing pods on the milkweed behind it.

The Joe Pye weed we have in our yard is starting to bloom. I’ll post some pictures of that soon. I’m trying to get some more wild flowers in our garden. Milkweed is high on the list, but I’m looking for the bright orange variety with the taproot, Asclepias tuberose.
